About Scarlet

Scarlet earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University in 2026. In 2024, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with minors in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and Social Sciences, also from Southern Oregon University. She is a Registered Associate/Professional Counselor Associate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists.

As a therapist, Scarlet strives to create and maintain an empathic, non-judgmental, authentic, open-minded, and multiculturally sensitive space. Her approach to mental health care focuses on genuine interpersonal connection, personal exploration and insight-building, and collaborative resourcing, problem solving, and improvement, adapted to the needs and comfort level of each client. She especially loves to discuss the significance of the family environment in emotional development, and to incorporate expressive art activities in therapy. Currently, she works with clients age 15+ for individual psychotherapy to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress, as well as personal/identity exploration and affirmation, and more.

Scarlet has experience working with clients from ages 18-64 with a variety of mental health conditions. She primarily uses philosophies of Adlerian Therapy and Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), supported by techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also has a strong educational foundation in feminist and queer theories, as well as specific training in LGBTQ+ Affirming Counseling, and specializes in working with queer and/or transgender clients. Scarlet also utilizes knowledge from her previous experience working as a psychiatric medical assistant and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) operator.

Scarlet currently offers both in-person appointments in the Medford office and telehealth appointments.

Scarlet is supervised by RuthAnne Alexander, MS, LPC, NCC, QMHP.
